Tom Holland's Spider-Man is joining the Avengers next month in Captain America: Civil War. With the positive early reception on Holland's performance as the web-slinging hero, the world of Peter Parker has been widened in terms of possible superhero tie-ups, particularly Deadpool.

The Spider-Man Deadpool crossover certainly crossed the minds of Deadpool director and producer Simon Kinberg.

According to Superhero Hype, at the press day for Deadpool's Blu-ray release, Miller and Kinberg talked about its possibility.

Miller shared:

Simon and I have been trying to build bridges.

Kinberg added:

I would love to see it. Both of us are close with [Marvel's] Kevin [Feige], we respect and love Kevin. If it were even remotely possible, we will find a way 'cause we'd would love to see it.

Even though Kinberg said he doesn't know if the crossover is possible at this time, the producer is likely the most capable person of making that dream team become reality.

Kinberg has produced for both Fox's X-Men and Disney's Star Wars Rebels. He's also one of the people responsible for Fox greenlighting Deadpool.

At the very least, it seems like Marvel and Disney are trying out the buddy comedy superhero genre with Thor: Ragnarok, which will see Thor and Hulk taking a road trip through space. It's likely that Fox and Disney might take a stab at doing a Deadpool Spider-Man tie-up since their relationship is popular in the Marvel universe.

Fans love the comics. Undoubtedly, viewers who haven't read the comics will love the crossover too. Deadpool did break a ton of blockbuster records. Deadpool 2 is already in the works. Holland's Spider-Man is also getting a warm reception from fans.

A Deadpool Spider-Man crossover has blockbuster written all over it.

If that movie is indeed possible, it's likely we won't be seeing that film in the next two years. Still, fans are going to have a field day when that happens.
