The Walking Dead will end in November after 11 seasons on the air, but it will not be the end of the TWD universe. To date, six spinoffs are coming, including Norman Reedus' Daryl-centric show, so what can the actor say about it?

The yet-to-be-titled Daryl spinoff will come in 2023. Thankfully, Norman Reedus dropped some major details about it as The Walking Dead soon ends.

The Walking Dead Daryl spinoff's Plot Details

According to ScreenRant, Daryl's spinoff was first announced in September 2020, when The Walking Dead's ending was also revealed.

Since then, the series' premise and details have changed a bit. It was supposed to feature Daryl and Carol (Melissa McBride), but the latter quit after the production was set overseas.

The Walking Dead showrunner Angela Kang also left the series. Despite the departures, Reedus remains confident that the show will succeed.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 53-year-old star dropped some major details about the series' setting and what it would entail.

He said he had already been in France for the show's production. The show's European location will play a major role in the series' plot as Daryl will find himself in the country of the French Republic.

He has no idea how he gets there, igniting a new mission to return home.

The Difference Between The Walking Dead, Daryl-Centric Spinoff

Reedus also revealed the big difference between the mothership series and the spinoff.

"We knew we wanted to make a show that went in the opposite direction, just because we didn't want to do the same thing. So that's what we're doing. And it's going to be way different," he said. "The story's way different. The characters are way different. There's a different tone, there's different light, there's a different sound. It's a whole different vibe."
