Gillian Anderson confirms her return to Sex Education Season 4 in a post on Instagram. The X-Files star shares a behind-the-scenes look from the set of the series, announcing Jean Milburn is back.

Jean is the witty and wise sex therapist who also happens to be Otis’ (Asa Butterfield) mother. The previous season’s eighth episode made it look like it would be the end of Jean after suffering a hemorrhage while delivering her baby. But as she successfully woke up, it just meant she would return to Sex Education Season 4.

Gillian Anderson Hints at Sex Education Season 4 Return

Anderson’s photo shows her sitting on the makeup and hair chair. A bunch of cosmetic products can be seen in front of her with a little nude doll that only wears a pair of gold boots.

She is visibly seen in the mirror beside her stylist, who’s wearing a black mask. In the caption, she simply writes, “Jean’s baaaaaack!” and tags the show’s Instagram handle, along with several brand names and the stylists Lisa Eldridge and Emily Bilverstone.

Anderson’s return in Sex Education Season 4 may finally answer the question about the father of her child after the paternity test revealed it’s not Jakob (Mikael Persbrandt), per ScreenRant. So, who could it be?

Sex Education Season 4 Plotline

Meanwhile, Sex Education Season 4 will continue with Otis, Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), and most students starting their new school lives at Cavendish Sixth Form College.

Sex Education Season 4’s filming has already started in August. Several character exits have marred the series in the past few months, but there will be new faces fans are about to see, like Dan Levy.
