Maya Hawke wants her character Robin to be killed off in Stranger Things Season 5, but it has to be in a heroic way. The 24-year-old star wants her role to "die with honor."

Robin became an instant fan favorite when she joined the hit Netflix series on its third season in 2019. Though her possible demise in Stranger Things Season 5 will surely break a lot of fans' hearts, Hawkes doesn't mind.

Possible Major Character Deaths in Stranger Things Season 5

The series has been known for trying to avoid its major characters, prompting Millie Bobby Brown to call its creators, the Duffer Brothers, sensitive Sallies.

It has only killed its beloved supporting characters, and the latest victims are Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine) and Eddie (Joseph Quinn).

However, as the fifth and final season poses a great threat with Vecna's (Jamie Campbell Bower) threatening return, will a major character die this time?

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Hawkes revealed she's expecting several characters to die. In fact, she would love to see Robin "die with honor" and become a hero.

"Well, it's the last season, so people are probably going to die," she said. "I would love to die and get my hero's moment. I'd love to die with honor, as any actor would."

Hawkes added she loved the way the Duffer Brothers loved their actors.

Other Major Stranger Things Season 5 Details

Meanwhile, Stranger Things Season 5 will return home in Hawkins. The show's executive producer Shawn Levy told E! News that the fifth season would be more "Hawkins-centric."

The previous season finale showed Eleven (Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Hopper (David Harbour), and Joyce (Winona Ryder) return to Hawkins.

He then talked about the release date, and though he didn't reveal anything, he said it wouldn't "gonna be smaller."
