The Russo Brothers are all for Anna Kendrick as Squirrel Girl, Drop Hints About Upcoming Marvel Movies

Anna Kendrick has stated beforethat she wants to play Marvel's squirreliest hero and the Russo brothers are all for seeing her in the role, Yahoo News reports. "It would be perfect casting, and we're huge Anna Kendrick fans," Joe Russo asserts.

However, they made sure to stress there are not neccesarily plans for Squirrel Girl in the upcoming Marvel movies. They say already have "their hands full with pre-existing characters" when it comes to planning for the 2019 mega-movie Avengers: Infinity War. "Anthony would probably die from exhaustion if we introduced another character", Joe jokes about his brother.

But Anthony then added, "That's not to say we're not going to introduce a new character". The brothers were asked if that meant Captain Marvel would be introduced in Avengers: Infinity War. Anthony joked in response, "If they ever cast that role, maybe. Do you know if they've cast it yet?" Of course, Brie Larson has been cast as Captain Marvel.

The Russos were tight-lipped on any more info, saying ""That's one we're going to have to plead the fifth on." The comedy continued when they said they'd narrowed down the potential characters in Infinity War from 67 to 66. Joe talked about cutting out Dr. Fine, the surgeon who appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. "He's off the board. Wanted too much money."' Dr. Fine was played by Joe Russo himself.

While it not be much, that's yet another hat in the ring for Kendrick as Squirrel Girl and it seems like a good possibility we'll see Carol Danvers soon. What do you think of the interview? Do you agree about the Squirrel Girl casting?
