The Rise of Skywalker: John Boyega Reveals the Orbaks were Shot Practically with Actual Horses

Solo: A Star Wars Story had some fun with creature effects when they put actual dogs in costumes, but The Rise of Skywalker apparently upped the ante by dressing up horses for the Orbaks on Kef Bir. What's cool is, John Boyega has shared a BTS look of his horse in costume for the film.

Check it out:

While I don't think the Orbaks really did anything that significant, I thought the scene where the Final Order was looking for speeders but found out the Resistance was riding horses was pretty fun. I also love how ex-trooper Jannah has a Star Wars version of a bow and arrow called an energy bow.

After The Last Jedi, a lot of people online actually thought that Finn's character was kind of put aside for The Rise of Skywalker. If anything, he doesn't have an arc that was as clear as the one he got in The Last Jedi; a lot of fans did notice that Finn kind of spent a lot of this movie just shouting "Rey!" sometimes followed with "C'mon!"

Though the Sequel Trilogy has ended, a lot of people are hoping for solo films or spinoffs starring main characters like Poe, Rey, or Finn. If anything, I think it would be interesting to make an entire trilogy completely devoid of the Skywalkers this time around. Then again, maybe we have to wait a bit longer for that.

For now, you can catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in theaters today.
