Members of The Midnight Club

The Midnight Club is based on Christopher Pike’s novel with the same title. The book was originally released in 1994, and it is one of the many stand-alone stories he released throughout his career.

Here is a brief summary of the plot of the story:

A group of terminally ill teenage patients resides at Rotterdam Home, and together they create the Midnight Club. They meet in secret at midnight to tell horror stories. Together the group forms a pact that whoever dies first would make an effort to contact the rest of the Midnight Club members from beyond the grave.

Based on the information we have about the series, there were some minor changes such as newer characters presented and, with Flanagan taking the helm, some valuable lessons that take us deeper into the psyche of the series.

The show followed the same foundational storyline as the book, we will see young teenagers who are living in a hospice. They all suffered from different incurable diseases and are trying their best to get through whatever remaining time they have alive. They form friendships, build relationships, and have spooky fun together as they make a deal that may or may not be their collective attempt to come to terms with death.

The Midnight Club Trailer: Is There a Trailer for The Midnight Club?

The Midnight Club is part of Netflix Geeked Week 2022, where the official trailer for the series was released. In the video, we are introduced to the main cast member of the series. The camera focuses on each of them as they each say a line from a rather dark poem. The lines are:

To those before
To those after
To those near
And to those beyond
Seen or unseen
Here but not here

How Many Episodes Will The Midnight Club Have?

The show will have ten episodes in total, and we estimate each episode will be running between 45 to 60 minutes. There is also still no information about the episode release schedules, so we don’t know if the episodes will all release at once or if a new episode will come out every week.

The Midnight Club is another classic novel that receives the magic of Flanagan’s talents. We look forward to seeing how he sprinkles flourishing details in the series, much as he did in his previous projects with Netflix.
