The Marvels Timeline Reportedly Revealed

The first Captain Marvel movie introduced Carol Danvers (played by Brie Larson) in 1995, in which most of what occurred in the movie took place. Now that we are getting a Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels, we can expect a more modern setting, seeing as the multiverse exists and is also expected to include Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris).

Since Ms. Marvel took place around March 2025, according to the easter egg found in the first episode imprinted on the calendar, and we will be seeing Khan join the team with Captain Marvel and Rambeau, it is likely that the timeline of when The Marvels takes place is close to the aforementioned year.

According to a new report, The Marvels will be set in the year 2025, “30 years after the first movie Captain Marvel took place in 1995.” Check out the tweet below:

While nothing has been set to stone yet, given that Ms. Marvel will be playing a role in the Captain Marvel sequel, setting up The Marvels in 2025 is great as it would easily justify why Kamala barely aged, and would emphasize that the younger Captain Marvel would potentially be bearing a lot more on her shoulders compared to Carol and Monica.
