We will soon be seeing Brie Larson reprise her role as the MCU’s Captain Marvel a.k.a. Carol Danvers in her own upcoming sequel, The Marvels, where we will also be encountering returning characters such as Ms. Marvel’s Kamala Khan (played by Iman Vellani) and WandaVision star Monica Rambeau (played by Teyonah Parris). The Marvels was initially depicted to be a collision between 3 Captain Marvels, as shown in an exclusive D23 Expo Trailer where they learn to become a team, however, we now have the official synopsis set and ready for the Captain Marvel sequel!

The tweet reads: “Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the supreme intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey city super-fan, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece captain, Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as ‘The Marvels.’”
