We already know that The Mandalorian has featured a lot of characters who first appeared in the animated shows. So it's no surprise that a new report has revealed that a Star Wars Rebels character will get their live-action debut in the Disney+ series.
According to Making Star Wars, The Mandalorian Season 3 will feature Fenn Rau, a character who was originally introduced in the video game Star Wars Rebels: Strike Missions before showing up in the animated series. Kevin McKidd provided the voice of the Mandalorian and is expected to portray the live-action version of his character in The Mandalorian Season 3.
This is great news considering that The Mandalorian has already given a lot of characters from the animated shows. The series also brought in Katee Sackhoff to portray Bo-Katan Kryze, a character she originally voiced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. With that in mind, we're glad to know that Kevin McKidd has been given the chance to play the character he originated in Star Wars Rebels.
Fenn Rau's arrival in The Mandalorian is a welcome one considering that the character is connected to Bo-Katan Kryze. In Rebels, he was one of the Mandalorians who remained loyal to Bo-Katan after she wielded the Darksaber. His return in the show's third season could reveal how she lost the weapon and the effects of its loss on the other Mandalorian clans.
We're loving the idea of Kevin McKidd reprising his role as Fenn Rau in The Mandalorian Season 3. However, the casting has not yet been officially announced. Nevertheless, we're expecting to see the character's live-action debut in the next few episodes. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
The first three episodes of The Mandalorian Season 3 are now streaming on Disney+. Episode 4 is titled Chapter 20: The Foundling and is set to premiere on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
