The show’s first episode was streamed yesterday on Crunchyroll, though it wasn’t announced as part of the platform’s Winter 2023 lineup until its premiere was close.
Regardless, the anime quickly made a splash as its Twitter hashtag trended with thousands of tweets shortly after the premiere.

The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady (Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei in Japanese) is a bit different though as it didn’t get a lot of attention, except for those who read the source material.
While it’s a fantasy story with comedy, readers also love it for its yuri elements.
Its story follows Anisphia, a princess of a kingdom who is inept at regular magic.
Though she develops a unique magical theory called “magicology” that’s based on memories from her past life.
Soon, Anisphia invites the noblewoman Euphyllia to live under her after the latter is unjustly stripped of her title as the kingdom’s next monarch.
Anisphia’s goal is to help Euphyllia regain her title, though their encounter will soon result in major ramifications for the kingdom.

The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess Crunchyroll Premiere
Crunchyroll announced the anime’s release just a day before its premiere yesterday.
While the announcement came as a surprise, existing fans of the work were happy to see it get picked up by a major platform.
Soon after its premiere, the show’s official hashtag trended on Twitter with a peak of over 16,000 tweets.
This goes to show that the anime has the potential to be one of this season’s biggest hits.
While many of those who watched it are readers of the light novel and its subsequent manga adaptations, there are also viewers who watched the show without any idea of its source material.
To their surprise, they enjoyed the first episode, not only for its yuri undertones but also for the quality animation and intriguing premise.
The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess Episode 2 will be released on Crunchyroll next week in the US and other territories.
