People had a lot of expectations in The Last of Us Episode 3 but nobody expected to cry their eyes out this week. As it turns out, Long Long Time was an emotional hour as it explored the story of Bill and Frank, and fans are praising Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett for their performances as the gay couple.

In The Last of Us Episode 3, we got to see how Bill met Frank four years after the zombie apocalypse. Frank stumbled into Bill's compound and the two immediately form a romantic relationship. Although they have their disagreements, the couple soon strikes a tenuous friendship with smugglers Joel and Tess.

Unfortunately, Frank's health deteriorates in the present day and he asks Bill to euthanize him. Bill, unwilling to live without Frank, agrees but kills himself as well.

It's a beautiful yet heartbreaking story that gives us a better idea of how Bill and Frank survived the apocalypse. Not surprisingly, fans are loving Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett's performances in The Last of Us Episode 3, claiming that they deserve Emmys.

Bill and Frank's story was barely explored in the video game. In fact, Frank is only shown as a corpse that Bill, Joel, and Ellie encounter in the woods. Needless to say, the changes made by the HBO series were a welcome thing for fans who wondered about the relationship between the two characters.

For now, it is unclear whether we'll get to see Bill and Frank again in the next episodes of The Last of Us. Still, we're glad we got to see Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett give the characters justice with their amazing performances in Episode 3.

The Last of Us Episode 3 is now streaming on HBO Max. The fourth episode is titled Please Hold My Hand and will premiere on the streaming service on Sunday, February 5, 2023.
