The Last of Us Episode 3 Teaser Previews Trouble for Bill and Frank

Most of us are still trying to wrap our heads around what happened in The Last of Us Episode 2 but we already have a preview of what will happen next week. The teaser for The Last of Us Episode 3 has been dropped and it confirms the arrival of Bill and Frank. Unfortunately, it also looks like we'll find out why they played a Depeche Mode song in the first episode.

The teaser for The Last of Us Episode 3 opens with Bill in his home, watching the monitors of his security cams and preparing for the worst. He then notices something and promptly rushes outside with a shotgun. That's when he discovers Frank in a hole.

We're seeing how these two survivalists met and eventually ended up working together. The teaser also confirms that Joel had warned Bill about raiders but Bill simply brushes it off, saying that they will be fine.

Although it's unclear what exactly is happening, some raiders appear to have attacked Bill and Frank and injured the former. That's when Bill tells Frank to call Joel, which possibly led to Frank playing an 80s song on the radio.

We already know that 80s songs, like Depeche Mode's Never Let Me Down Again in the premiere, mean trouble and although it might have been a warning to stay away, Joel didn't hear it. As confirmed in Episode 2, he and Ellie are now on their way to Bill and Frank, unaware of what has happened to the duo. Let's just hope he gets to them in time to save Bill.

The Last of Us Episode 3 will introduce Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett as Bill and Frank, respectively. The third episode is titled Long Long Time and is set to premiere on HBO on Sunday, January 29, 2023.
