A lot of Star Wars characters have been benefiting from the success of The Mandalorian and Disney's "expansion" of the Mandoverse and that includes the returning Boba Fett who is set to headline his own show The Book of Boba Fett.

While several reports claim that the series will serve as Season 2.5 of The Mandalorian, there's no doubt that the focus will still be on the famed bounty hunter played by Temuera Morrison who is making his full-time Star Wars comeback after 16 years.

Morrison last appeared in the franchise in 2005's Revenge of the Sith but this Mando Season 2 marked his first time portraying Boba Fett in live-action form. Now, we still know very little about the upcoming Disney+ series but Morrison himself is determined to keep things under wraps. In an interview with The Express, the Aquaman star didn't reveal much about the series and just stated the obvious.

He said: "It's in the timeline of The Mandalorian so, I guess, we gotta go back and see. It's a duo thing. We've got Ming-Na Wen in there - she's playing the master assassin Fennec Shand." However, Morrison was generous enough to reveal the star-studded directorial lineup of the show which includes Robert Rodriguez, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and the returning Bryce Dallas Howard who helmed two well-received episodes of The Mandalorian.

Even though it will pick up where Season 2 of The Mandalorian left off, it's safe to assume that The Book of Boba Fett will address Fett's absence and what truly happened to him following his "fatal" fall in the Sarlacc Pit in Return of the Jedi. There's a lot to unpack in the series, I can already tell.

The Book of Boba Fett hits Disney+ in December.
