After months of anticipation, Lucasfilm finally announced the official release date for the upcoming Star Wars spinoff series The Book of Boba Fett which will premiere on December 29th. Now, if you've been a longtime subscriber of Disney+, you're well aware that originally, the Disney streaming service's live-action Marvel and Star Wars content would normally air during Fridays but the House of Mouse changed the release schedule to Wednesday when The Falcon and the Winter Soldier began airing last March.

So far, Disney+ has kept Wednesday exclusive to Marvel content, and with The Book of Boba Fett also getting a Wednesday release, it would be safe to assume that the upcoming Star Wars shows will also be getting the same treatment.

Interestingly, Marvel Studios' upcoming standalone Hawkeye series which is set to premiere on November 24th will also be getting the Wednesday slot which means that by the time The Book of Boba Fett premieres its debut episode, we'll be getting ourselves two live-action shows releasing on the same day.

Of course, this begs the question: will Disney actually keep both shows on the same day? Something tells me that's not the case and while some fans would be delighted to get both shows on the same day, it could end up being disastrous. You see, the chances of Hawkeye overshadowing The Book of Boba Fett and vice versa is there and Disney couldn't afford that. My guess is that either show could be moved to Fridays to keep it from going head-to-head with one another and quite frankly, that's the best thing for them to do.

The Book of Boba Fett streams on December 29th exclusively on Disney+.
