There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 after an eventful second season finale. But what are the chances that a lost character will be brought back in the third season? A fan theory suggests that Doctor Royce Hemlock is the key to bringing back Tech but it might not be an entirely good thing.
In The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 16, Clone Force 99 was stuck in a rail car unable to escape Imperial forces. To help the rest of the team escape, Tech sacrifices himself and falls to his death. His death is later confirmed by Hemlock as he claims that Tech's broken goggles were the only thing they could recover.
But is it possible that Hemlock was lying? Considering that the scientist has been trying to get his hands on as many clones as he can, it's unlikely that he would simply give up on someone like Tech who is a defective clone with several impressive traits. It is believed that Hemlock collected the corpse intending to clone Tech, make certain alterations, and set him on Clone Force 99.
It's a dark theory and although we don't want this to happen to Tech, it's highly possible considering Hemlock's obsession with clones. On the other hand, some still believe that Tech had survived and was taken to Mount Tantiss alive. Unfortunately, if this is true, there's a possibility he will be subjected to the same treatment as Crosshair.
For now, it is still unclear whether Tech is dead or alive. However, Clone Force 99 believes that their brother is dead and the members are now set on rescuing Omega (and maybe even Crosshair) from Hemlock. With that in mind, we can't wait to find out what will happen next in The Bad Batch Season 3.
