The Bad Batch Fans React To [SPOILERS] Ambiguous Death

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 16 was a truly shocking one for viewers after Emerie Karr's unexpected revelation. However, there is one thing about the season finale that people can't stop talking about. Plan 99 featured a major death, but fans believe it didn't actually happen.

In The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 16, Tech sacrificed himself to make sure the rest of Clone Force 99 can escape Imperial forces and continue the search for Crosshair. But when they got to Ord Martell, they were immediately betrayed by Cid, who had contacted Doctor Royce Hemlock.

Hemlock tries to convince them to give up Omega, going as far as taunting them by tossing Tech's broken goggles at Hunter. Although they refuse, Omega reveals herself to save Hunter and Wrecker only to be captured by Hemlock.

At this point, the members of Clone Force 99 are convinced that Tech is truly dead and most people have been mourning the character. However, some fans have their own ideas about his fate. Some believe that Tech survived and has been captured by Hemlock to be taken to Mount Tantiss. It's pretty clear that people are not giving up on Tech's ability to survive at this point.

It's a hopeful idea considering that most fans are not ready to say goodbye to Tech just yet. For now, the only certain thing is Omega has been reunited with Crosshair. She might also find an ally in Emerie Karr who has just revealed herself to be Omega's genetic sister. With that in mind, we're hoping to catch up with everyone in The Bad Batch Season 3.

The fifteenth episode of The Bad Batch Season 2 is titled The Summit while the final episode is titled Plan 99. All 16 episodes of the second season are now streaming on Disney+.
