Tammy Slaton survived a major health scare after she reportedly "quit breathing." The 1000-Lb Sisters star is determined to make a huge change in her lifestyle and health and her supporters are happy and proud of her.

1000-Lb Sisters Star Tammy Slaton Drops 115 Lbs After Surviving Major Health Scare

Tammy Slaton brought fears among her family members when she was rushed to a hospital shortly after she decided to check in a rehab facility to work on her weight loss journey. The doctors put her on a ventilator and she was in a medically induced coma for four days.

Her family stayed by her side and when she woke up, she told them that she loved them. Tammy stayed for three weeks in the hospital and when she was released, she returned to the weight-loss rehab facility.

According to her brother, Chris, Tammy is making huge progress this time. She already dropped 115 lbs after 30 days, People reported.

Dr. Eric Smith promised Tammy that if she hit 500 lbs, she can go straight from rehab and undergo weight loss surgery.

The episode on 1000-Lb Sisters Season 3 finale was filmed last year. According to Showbiz CheatSheet, based on Tammy's TikTok post in November, she was rushed to a hospital due to carbon dioxide poisoning.

"I ended up in the hospital because of carbon dioxide poisoning … which led into pneumonia and I was septic," Tammy said in a video. "After I got off life support, they put a trach in, so I’m trying to get used to that."

1000-Lb Sisters Tammy Slaton Is Making Her Fans Happy And Proud

Tammy Slaton disappointed her fans and infuriated some when she fell off the wagon. In previous episodes of 1000-Lb Sisters Season 3 before the finale Monday, she was seen partying with her friends. Tammy had been eating unhealthy foods, drinking and vaping.

Tammy was supposed to lose weight. Her family and doctor were also bothered because her lifestyle was making her sicker.

Tammy made a huge change in her lifestyle in the finale and her fans acknowledged it. They were very happy and proud after Tammy decided to choose herself and take good care of her health.

"So proud of you Tammy. You got this girl!!!! one tweeted.

"Tammy Slaton deciding to go back to rehab makes me so damn proud of her. Please girl… you can do this. You’re so worth it," another added.

"One of my many guilty pleasures is watching #1000poundsisters .. I have grown so attached to the Slaton family. This last episode almost devastated me. I am so glad you made it Tammy and I can not wait to watch your progress! so proud of you," another supporter tweeted.

1000-Lb Sisters Season 3 just ended. TLC hasn't announced if the series will be renewed for another season.
