Taiso Otome Fairy Tale is based on a manga of the same name. It tells the story of 17-year-old Shima Takahiko, the youngest son of a powerful family, who grew up without much affection. When he gets involved in an accident that kills his mother and permanently cripples his dominant arm, Takahiko's father banishes him to an isolated countryside residence.

There, Takahiko, who is suffering from depression, believes that he will die alone. To his surprise, a 14-year-old girl, Tachibana Yuzuki, appears at the door and proclaims that Takahiko's father sent her to be his future bride.

After 5 unanswered letters to his father regarding his return to school, Tamahiko starts to lose hope. His uncle, with whom Tamako is currently living, becomes an unexpected deus ex machina for our main characters. With Tamako's mediation, their uncle decides to fund Tamahiko's studies himself.

Before the entrance exam, Tamahiko, Yuzuki, and the village children attend the outdoor performance of Kotori Shiratori, an idol Yuzuki has always admired.

Later, Tamahiko passes his exam and goes back to high school, only to find that he's one of two transfer students. The other is Shiratori Hikaru - no other than Kotori's twin.

Tamahiko has a hard time adjusting to school; the other students avoid him as they don't know how to behave around him due to his disability (sadly a frequent problem at the time). Living alone and mostly secluded for a long time hasn't done his social skills any favor either, so he finds himself lonely and overwhelmed.

By the end of the day, Hikaru has befriended Tamahiko following a ridiculous conflict about each other's painting, which, to put it simply, are no Blue Period pieces. Their argument gets them in understands and they both get extra homework, which they proceed to work on in Tamahiko's house.

Yuzuki is delighted that Tamahiko brought a friend with him. To make her happy, Tamahiko lies, pretending he had an amazing day. Hikaru notes the lie. While he doesn't approve of it, he understands and urges Tamahiko to work hard so that he can turn his lies into the truth.

The next day, Hikaru is back, this time bringing Kotori with him, much to Yuzuki's delight.

Taisho Otome Fairy Tale Episode 9 Release Date

The release date for Taisho Otome Fairy Tale is Saturday, the 3rd of December 2021. Fans in Europe, the US, and Canada will be able to access it from Friday, December on Funimation. The episode's title is going to be "Hakaru to Kotori." We therefore expect it to focus on twins Hakaru and Kotori, who seem set up to be Tamahiko and Yuzu's new friends.

If you're a premium user of Funimation, you'll be able to watch the new episode immediately upon release. Else, you will have to wait until mid-December and there will be ads.
