While we've been loving the Winter 2022 anime season as much as everyone else, the cold weather also has us dreaming of summer! Although, here's hoping your summer isn't anything like what's going to unfold in this highly-anticipated mystery series. If you want to get ahead of the crowd, we've got Summertime Render's release date, studio, where to watch, trailer and everything you need to know.
While many fans wouldn't have heard about Summertime Render before this year, fans of the original manga believe this could become one of the most popular anime of 2022!
What is Summertime Render About?
Also known as Summertime Rendering and based on the manga of the same name, the story takes place in a small coastal town where Shinpei grew up with sisters Mio and Ushio before moving to Tokyo.
Upon hearing of Ushio's death, Shinpei returns for the funeral. Supposedly, Ushio drowned, but Shinpei notices bruises around her neck and believes something else might have happened.
When he starts hearing the Ushio's voice calling out to him, asking him to save her sister, Shinpei starts to investigate and soon discovers a dark side to the seemingly peaceful town.
Summertime Render Release Date
The first episode of Summertime Rendering will premiere on Thursday 14th April 2022. New episodes will then be released every Thursday.
The first episode will air at midnight on Tokyo MX in Japan. The series is being licensed by Disney, but there has been no confirmation as to the release schedule for global audiences so far.
We are hopeful that Disney will follow a similar release schedule to shows on platforms such as Crunchyroll and recent releases on Netflix, where episodes are available weekly. However, we've seen before where series licensed internationally are released in full only when the series has finished its run in Japan, which would be many months away.
We will update this page with new information regarding the international release when available.

Summertime Rendering will be broadcast on Tokyo MX and BS11 in Japan, while global audiences will be able to watch the series on Disney+.
The show has been listed as a 25-episode series, which would run for two cours. It has not been confirmed whether it will run continuously or be a split-cour production. However given that it's streaming on Disney+, we would expect it to be a continuous run.
