As Volume 2 approaches its release, the buzz around Stranger Things Season 5 continues and the Duffer Brothers fuel everyone’s excitement as they teased that the last run of the show would cater the origin story of the Upside Down which is the common denominator of the antagonists of the series, the Mind Flayer, Demogorgons, and Vecna.
Since the first season dropped and made its way to Netflix, the Upside Down has been such an interesting thing to look at. Imagine, all of the main villains of Stranger Things came from that parallel dimension existing just like the real world, only that it is darker and monsters lurk from within. As to how and why it is created, to date, no one still knows, except the Duffer brothers, of course.
In an interview with Variety, the creators of Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers teased what Season 5 will be all about, they revealed that a lot of questions about the villains of the show would be answered by Season 4 Volume 2, however, they still left a pivotal piece in the puzzle: the Upside Down.
Matt Duffer shared, “The only thing that we don’t fully delve into in Volume 2 is Upside Down.” Matt added, “A lot of people are seeking to know the answers for Upside Down, it is really what the basis of Season 5 is about.
Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 is expected to pick-up where the first volume ended with the revelation that Vecna is actually Henry Creel, also known as One, who became the first patient of the research of Doctor Brenner. Eleven banished him and accidentally opened a portal to the Upside Down.
A lot of questions remain unanswered and are expected to be solved once Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 comes out on Friday. As the release nears, theories on what will happen on the last two episodes are now circulating online and the fans are now playing favorites given that it has been teased that there will be deaths in the finale.
Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 will be arriving on Netflix on Friday, July 1, 2022.
