Stephen King's The Outsider Star Teases Possible Season 2

There is little doubt that fans are still hoping for a second season of The Outsider. After all, the HBO miniseries based on Stephen King's novel teased on the possibility that the monster is still alive. So what are the chances we'll see Season 2 in the future? Jason Bateman has just revealed that there have been plans for yet another season.

Bateman recently spoke to Collider where he confirmed that showrunner Richard Price already has plans for Season 2.

"Well I know that they're talking about it and Richard Price is playing with some ideas and taking some first steps as to what that second year might and feel like," Bateman said. Interestingly, he also pointed out although Season 1 already adapted the book but that doesn't mean that the writers no longer have plans to continue with the series.

"Obviously, it's a complete free-ball because the first season exhausted 100% of the book, the IP. So, it's really all up to [Price]," Bateman said.

Although it's unlikely that Bateman will return to play Terry Maitland in the second season, he did share his thoughts considering that he produced and directed the first two episodes of the first season. In the meantime, it will still be up to Price to come up with an interesting way to push through with Season 2.

The first season of The Outsider premiered on January 12 and concluded on March 8. HBO has not yet renewed the series for a second season. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
