Star Wars: The Bad Batch Fans Celebrate Hunter and Echo's Return in Season 2 Episode 5

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 5 is finally here and it features something (or someone) we have missed in the past two weeks. Hunter and Echo are finally back and fans are celebrating their awesome return.

We saw a lot of Hunter and Echo in the two-part premiere of The Bad Batch Season 2 but they, along with the rest of Clone Force 99, were notably absent in Episode 3 which focused on Crosshair. Unfortunately, the pair were sent on a mission in the fourth episode, which meant Tech, Wrecker, and Omega had the entire episode for themselves.

Luckily, things finally looked up for Hunter and Echo fans as the duo returned in Episode 5. Not surprisingly, people are loving it and are causing both characters to trend on Twitter.

The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 5 was certainly an exciting one, at least, for most of Clone Force 99. In Entombed, Omega finds an ancient compass that has a set of coordinates toward the uncharted Kaldar Trinary. With the help of the pirate Phee Genoa, the Bad Batch find themselves being led to Skara Nal, the resting place of a legendary crystal known as the Heart of the Mountain.

The crystal was certainly difficult to find but when they finally remove it, it awakens Skara Nal which turns out to be an ancient doomsday mech. Although Phee is initially unwilling to return the crystal, she ultimately gives it back and the Bad Batch use it to deactivate and destroy the mech.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 5 is the second episode featuring Wanda Sykes as Phee Genoa, who appeared briefly in the two-part premiere special. Considering that Omega seems to look up to her, there's a good chance we'll see more of Phee in the future.

The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 5 is now streaming on Disney+.
