There's no doubt that Lucasfilm's massive gamble to expand the Star Wars franchise through streaming has paid off, and this year, the beloved science-fiction property is ready to take fans into a different realm.

If shows like The Mandalorian and Ahsoka took fans into familiar territory, the upcoming The Acolyte project will explore an era of Star Wars that has barely been touched by other media.

Now, it appears that the production company is ready to unleash the series after years of anticipation.
