The Sith-focused series of the franchise, Star Wars: The Acolyte, just landed its 2024 release window, where everything will be set during the High Republic era, adding to the already-rich lore of the franchise and hopefully expanding its narrative.

During the Q&A session at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference, none other than Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed to the public when everyone can expect the arrival of Star Wars: The Acolyte.

Iger revealed, "Just last night, I got a clip of a Star Wars series that's going to air on Disney+ in 2024 called The Acolyte, that looks brilliant."

Star Wars: The Acolyte will be set around a hundred years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, and it will be marking the end of the High Republic era where secrets are lurking around and the darkness starts to emerge.

When the series was revealed to the public as one lined-up for the franchised, Amandla Stenberg was the first to be attached to Star Wars: The Acolyte where she will presumably the the lead character of the live-action series.

Joining Stenberg are a star-studded roster of actors including Lee Jung-jae, Carrie-Anne Moss, Dean-Charles Chapman, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, and Charlie Barnett.

It is expected that Star Wars: the Acolyte will be following the stint of the shows that came before it where it will be releasing officially and exclusively on Disney Plus, as it is under the huge umbrella of the Disney company.
