A second season of the upcoming Star Wars series The Acolyte is already in the works according to a new report.
The highly-anticipated Star Wars live-action series is set to arrive this summer and it will be the first major project that is set in the High Republic era of the galaxy.
Just like the recently-renewed Ahsoka, it looks like Lucasfilm is eyeing an ongoing run for the new series.

The Acolyte Season 2 is Rumored to Be in the Works
According to insider Daniel Richtman, a second season of The Acolyte is already being planned at Lucasfilm and a writers' room is currently being set.
They didn't provide details on whether the same creative team from the first season is returning to work on the next installment.
So far, neither Lucasfilm nor Disney+ have confirmed the renewal.
If the information ends up being true, it sounds like Lucasfilm has high confidence in the project since they want to work on a new season without waiting for the reception when it airs this summer.
It is likely that we will hear a confirmation once the series premieres or sometime after it finishes its first season. For now, fans should be thrilled that the series won't seemingly be a one-off.
The series is described as "a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era."
The story centers on a former Padawan who reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes and takes place around 100 years before The Phantom Menace.
Russian Doll co-creator Leslye Headland serves as the showrunner of the series. It also bolsters a stacked cast including the likes of Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Jodie Turner-Smith, Carrie-Anne Moss, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, and more.
The Acolyte is reportedly premiering on Disney+ this June 5.
