Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Actor Hypes up Lars Family Story Arc and Epic Final Episode

One of the best things about Obi-Wan Kenobi is that it promises a closer look at the people who raised Luke Skywalker. Star Wars prequel trilogy actors Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse have returned to reprise their roles as Owen and Beru Lars, respectively, and it looks like they will have an important part in the Disney+ series. Piesse has teased the Lars family's new story arc in the show and is hyping up the epic final episode!

Bonnie Piesse was recently a guest on the Comicbook Nation podcast where she spoke about her return as Beru Lars in Obi-Wan Kenobi. Not surprisingly, Piesse stated that her character truly cares about Luke like he is her own.

"I won't give anything away because that would be bad, but I would say Beru's whole role and her biggest care in the world is Luke," Piesse said. "She just wants to take care of Luke, and we've seen in A New Hope the older Beru was saying he's not a farmer, so she does that Luke has a different destiny. But I think she just wants to be his mom and care for him."

"She just wants the best for him," she continued. "Ever since he arrived in her arms as a little baby, she just took him on, and yeah, she's a total mother figure."

Piesse also pointed out that the Lars family "definitely have an arc" which will be revealed in the last few episodes. She then commented on how the finale will blow Star Wars fans' minds.

"I will say that the final episode I think is going to be extraordinary," Piesse said.

For now, Beru Lars has not yet appeared in the first three episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi but her arrival could mean more of Luke Skywalker as well.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 4 will premiere on Disney+ on June 8, 2022.
