Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Clip Teases Tense Exchange with Owen Lars

We're only two days away from the premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi and the series is firing things up by sharing a clip from the first two episodes. Not surprisingly, the scene features Ewan McGregor as the Jedi Master. However, it also puts the focus on Owen Lars, who isn't happy to see Obi-Wan!

We already know that Owen Lars doesn't think very highly of Obi-Wan. In the show's trailer, one of the most memorable scenes is a spicy exchange between the two where Owen makes a reference to Anakin Skywalker. The clip features a longer version of the scene and it confirms that Owen doesn't want to deal with the Jedi Master. Check it out below.

We don't need to tell you that Owen Lars and Obi-Wan Kenobi are talking about young Luke Skywalker, who is simply enjoying the desert life on Tatooine. At this point, it is unclear if Obi-Wan will manage to connect with Luke. However, there is little doubt that Owen will fight him all the way and it would be interesting to see Owen in action in the new Star Wars series.

It's great to see Joel Edgerton doing more in the Star Wars Universe considering that he only had a small part in the prequel trilogy movies and was still a relatively unknown actor during that time. Interestingly, it looks like Owen is finally getting to play a huge role in Obi-Wan Kenobi and we can't wait to see him in action this Friday.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a limited series and will consist of six episodes. The Star Wars series will also star Hayden Christensen, Bonnie Piesse, Moses Ingram, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, and Sung Kang. It will finally premiere with a two-episode special on Disney+ on May 27, 2022.
