It's a meeting that Star Wars fans have been waiting for for a long time. Longtime Ahsoka Tano voice actor Ashley Eckstein has just confirmed that she finally met The Mandalorian actress Rosario Dawson. In addition to that, the two reportedly met on the set of the highly anticipated Ahsoka series!
Ashley Eckstein was recently a guest on Entertainment Weekly's Dagobah Dispatch podcast where she shared what it was like to meet her fellow Ahsoka actor Rosario Dawson (via EW).
"She was just lovely. We just really hit it off, which I knew we would," Eckstein said. "I've been waiting to meet her for three years, and I was so excited. It was such an incredible moment."
Interestingly, it was confirmed that Eckstein and Dawson met on the set of Ahsoka. However, the Star Wars: The Clone Wars voice actress was quick to point out that it doesn't necessarily mean that she will be appearing in the Disney+ series.
"I don't wanna start a rumor," Eckstein said. "People are like, 'She's on the set. She played a character.' No, it was just a set visit. So I have not filmed a cameo for the Ahsoka series."
"I talk about throwing your dreams out into the universe, so it would be a dream come true if I got to do a cameo because my background is in live-action," she continued.
It's somehow disappointing to know that Ashley Eckstein didn't film an appearance in Ahsoka. Still, we're happy to know that she really hit it off with Rosario Dawson and we're hoping that the two will eventually work together on another Star Wars project.
Ahsoka is still in production and has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
