In case you missed it, Lucasfilm finally announced the official release date for the upcoming Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett and the hype is slowly starting to kick in. So far, very little is known about the series but according to its official synopsis, the Temuera Morrison-led show will see Boba Fett along with Fennec Shand navigate the Galaxy's underworld after returning to Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory previously ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.
Aside from the fans, actress Ming-Na Wen is absolutely hyped for the arrival of the spinoff series and the return of the feisty mercenary Fennec Shand who was revealed to be working with the returning Boba Fett in the previous season of The Mandalorian. Taking to Twitter, the iconic voice behind Disney's animated Mulan films shared her excitement over the show's release date announcement. Check it out here:

The Mandalorian Season 2 failed to explore the intriguing partnership between Boba and Fennec but it's definitely safe to say at this point that the upcoming MandoVerse series will give us a better understanding of why Fennec has seemingly dedicated her life to serving the famed bounty hunter. Of course, we all know that Fett saved Shand's life at one point but is there actually more to their alliance? I guess we'll just have to wait and see for ourselves.
