Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Production Start Confirmed by Spock Actor

It's finally time for the crew of the USS Enterprise to reunite. Ethan Peck has just confirmed that he is already preparing to return as Spock as Star Trek: Strange New Worlds starts pre-production.

Peck has just shared new photos on his official Instagram account. The images show off how thick the snow is in Canada and the location is tagged to Toronto, Ontario. When a fan asked whether Peck was in town to film Strange New Worlds, the actor simply replied with a winking emoji.

We're loving the idea that Peck is already prepping to return as Spock in the Star Trek: Discovery spin-off series. Hopefully, we'll get more updates from Peck and his co-stars soon.

Strange New Worlds was confirmed in May 2020 and the new show would follow the crew of the USS Enterprise a full decade before the events in Star Trek: The Original Series. This would be the time when Captain Christopher Pike was still in charge of the ship and Spock was just an Ensign.

But what can fans expect in Strange New Worlds? Peck had previously teased on the possibility that the spin-off show will depict Spock's first pon farr, which is the Vulcan male's biological mating period.

Since TOS already showed the effects of pon farr and the period happens every seven years, we could see Spock getting rowdy in Strange New Worlds. This could be a major challenge for the crew of USS Enterprise.

The new series will also star Anson Mount as Captain Pike and Rebecca Romijn. Star Trek legend Jonathan Frakes has also been confirmed to direct some episodes.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
