When Did Star Trek: Picard Finish Filming?

The third season of Star Trek: Picard was filmed right after the filming for the second season was over. In an interview with Variety, Picard lead star Patrick Stewart described how filming over the years was tough.

… and I’m still recovering from it. It was very intense. We filmed the 10 episodes of Season 2 and wrapped it at about seven o’clock in the evening, and began Season 3 at seven o’clock the next morning. And it was like that for about 13 months, I think. Longer than a year, I know that.

Star Trek: Picard season 3 completed filming on March 2022.

In an interview with EW, Stewart teased how the Picard and The New Generation crew will be working together.

We will meet them, but it's not a reassembling at all. It's not just a reunion. Everybody has a function, and that's really all I'm allowed to say, because what's coming up in season three I think is very exciting. And, of course, a lot of it will involve the way that the characters we've known for so long have evolved.

Star Trek: Picard season 3 is expected to tie up all the loose ends that season 2 left when it ended.

It was confirmed that the season is set to have one female villain, but we may also see Dr. Adam Soong as a sub-villain if he turns himself into a genetically-enhanced supervillain. We also know that the story of season 3 is inspired by Wrath of Khan, which means we may see the crew separated, and the separation may be the perfect way to re-introduce the cast of The New Generation into the series.

During the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, Stewart also hinted that the crew might return to the Enterprise.
