Squid Game actress Lee Yoo Mi surprised her fans with her appearance in Jay Park’s Yesterday music video.

Lee Yoo Mi has been enjoying the spike in her career for over a decade after she became an actress. She notably started her career in 2010 through the action thriller film, The Yellow Sea. The actress then enjoyed minor roles until she landed Ji Yeong’s character in Squid Game.

The success of the Netflix series led her to become the first Korean actress to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.

Amid her popularity, Lee Yoo Mi scored a gig and worked with Jay Park on the rapper’s newest single.

Lee Yoo Mi Appears on Jay Park’s Yesterday MV

Nearly a year after Jay Park launched his new label, More Vision, the former 2PM member released the music video for his latest single, Yesterday. The track was released alongside his music’s B-side, Love Is Ugly, featuring MAMAMOO’s Hwasa.

Jay Park produced Yesterday with Cha Cha Malone and Chucky Kim, and it is part of his digital single album of the same name.

Lee Yoo Mi acts as his love interest in the music video, with Jay Park singing the lyrics about a woman staying by his side despite the struggles.

The music video became Lee Yoo Mi’s latest project after working on the Kdrama series Mental Coach Jegal. She also had a cameo in Ji Chang Wook, Sung Dong Il, and Choi Soo Young’s drama, If You Wish Upon Me.

Fans will see her again in a new K-drama series this year.

Lee Yoo Mi To Star in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon Sequel

In May, E Today and Newsen reported that Lee Yoo Mi would lead Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon, a sequel to the hit series, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. She would star alongside Ong Seung Wu, Byun Woo Seok, Kim Jung Eun, and Kim Hae Sook.

The upcoming romantic comedy series will focus on Kang Nam Soon, a distant cousin of Park Bo Young’s Do Bong Soon. She also has immense strength like her mother and grandmother.

Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon’s release date has not yet been confirmed, but the publications said it would air in the first half of 2023.
