Spy x Family is finally back with its second season, and its first episode was a delight to watch. Aside from showing a hilarious Loid and Yor date, Spy x Family Season 2 Episode 1 also showed just how smart Anya can be.
This new episode flew by way too fast for most viewers as it adapted one of the most popular chapters in the manga among readers. Thus, this is the perfect way to kick off the highly anticipated new season.

Spy x Family’s Latest Episode Adapts a Fan-Favorite Chapter
As revealed previously, this new Spy x Family season will adapt the Grand Cruise Adventure arc. Before that part of the story gets adapted though, the new season opened with an adaptation of Loid and Yor's “bullet date.”
This is just a bonus chapter in the manga, but it’s an easy fan favorite thanks to its hilarious date sequence. Not to mention that it’s the source of the hilarious Anya meme where she invades other worlds.
The episode begins with Yor (aka Thorn Princess) on a mission. In the process, she gets hit in the butt by a bullet.
It’s not life-threatening, but her shift in mood worries Loid. Because of this, he asks Yor out on a date.
What follows is a hilarious date sequence where Yor can’t sit down due to her injury, all while Loid is panicking about what to do to cheer her up.
All while this is happening, Anya and Franky are tailing the two as Anya is worried their misunderstanding would lead to problems with their family.

Spy x Family Season 2 Episode 1 Shows Just How Smart Anya Is
Anya following her parents' date turned out to be the right decision. Loid and Yor went on a dinner at a fancy restaurant, though it turns out that one of the survivors of Thorn Princess’ attack works there.
This man resolves to get revenge on his comrades, but his first attempt at poisoning Yor fails. He soon resolves to make a bomb to eliminate Thorn Princess once and for all.
As luck would have it, Anya and Franky were sneaking into the restaurant, and Anya was able to read the assailant’s mind. In an impressive show of intelligence, Anya crafts a makeshift peanut bomb and threatens the man.
Thanks to her smarts and abilities, Anya saved her mom from danger, not to mention that she also saved the date in the process.
This proves that Anya is incredibly smart. Of course, she’s not always this intelligent as she’s still a kid who can’t read the time on a clock. Still, this should mean Anya can play a big role in future events.
