People may not want to admit this but the unprecedented success of Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse may have actually inspired Marvel Studios to create a live-action version of the 2018 film. It's too early to tell for sure but it's looking pretty evident by the day that Spider-Man 3 will indeed be a Spider-Verse-like film due to the inclusion of Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina's characters who originated from different timelines.

With all the possibilities, people have also been toying about the idea of bringing in a few characters from the acclaimed animated film. That includes the likes of Peter B. Parker voiced by Jake Johnson and if you're wondering how that'll work considering they're animated, the best solution of course is to give them a live-action treatment as well. Digital artist ApexForm has unveiled his new fan-art which imagines how Jake would look like as the live-action counterpart of his Spider-Verse character. Sure, it looks nothing like the Peter B. Parker we saw in the film but it still works. Check it out here:

We all thought for sure that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures were set to make things official during last week's Disney Investor Day but as it turns out, no announcements were made, not even a tease. We're still in the waiting game but I'm pretty sure it's only a matter of time before they drop some major news about Spider-Man 3. Don't be surprised though if it all comes out of nowhere. After all, they love surprising us fans.

The yet-to-be-titled third Spider-Man sequel is expected to hit cinemas in December 2021.
