In Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 2, The Last To Go, Wilford still struggles to take control of Snowpiercer with the resistance growing and with the help of Mrs. Headwood and Kevin, he tries to test some new equipment which was successful. Ruth informs Pike and the Tailies about the new equipment.

As for those in the pirate train, the woman from the nuclear reactor was revealed to be Asha, the one on the trailer and she got a recap of what happened in the last seven years on how people survived on the Snowpiercer. Ben ran tests on their research and they found out that life cannot thrive in North Korea, leaving the South Arabian Peninsula as their last option.

Layton continues to have a dream about a tree which was revealed to be the Dragon’s Blood Tree, one which can only survive in the same region on their last option. They decided to try and reconnect to Snowpiercer given that their resources are running out.

Asha reveals how they survived the cold. They were 34 in the nuclear plant and the other died through the years due to radiation, including her nephew who died of cancer. She was dehydrated and in a bad state when they found her. She thought she was the only person left on Earth not knowing about Snowpiercer.

On Snowpiercer, Oz proposes to Lilah Jr. and they tell Mr. Wilford about their wedding. On the other head, Ruth was able to contact Javi through Zarah who tells Ruth that the equipment was for the killing of Layton, some kind of an electromagnetic pulse machine. The wedding of Oz and LJ continues and Kevin came across Javi, and became suspicious. To give Lights time to deactivate the equipment, Ruth made the ultimate sacrifice of herself to Wilford.

Unfortunately, the equipment was not disabled. Worse, it activated. Pike and the Tailies realized the threat and with the help of Strong Boy, they threw the machine out of the train to put a stop to Wilford’s sinister plan. While it was a destructive weapon, it helped the pirate train locate the Snowpiercer and they drove it parallel to the Eternal Engine. Such event halted the sentence of Ruth losing her arm to the cold.

Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 3 is titled “The First Blow” and the synopsis of the episode is as follows: “It's a game of cat and mouse and both Layton and Wilford vie for the upper hand."

Now that Asha has been introduced and the dreams of Layton continue to hint that there is hope in the South Arabian Peninsula, New Eden may be in sight in no time.

In the promo of Episode 3, surprisingly, it shows a scene where Melanie is still alive and connected to dextrose. With the looks of it, she is in some kind of medical facility. It cannot be determined whether she is on Snowpiercer or on the pirate train.

Another intriguing scene is where LJ raises her fist in the air, seemingly supporting the resistance. Yes, she may be an annoying brat but this may be some character improvement on her. Still, it is possible that she would turn her back to whoever has the lesser advantage. After all, when her parents died, all she did was to hold on to who is in power and survive.

As for Asha, being a nuclear reactor technician, she could surely contribute her knowledge on the train itself considering her background. Her will to continue to live is something to applaud. Now that Layton and the team have living proof, Asha, that life thrived on Earth without the benefit of the Eternal Engine, this may lead to the resistance growing.

As for the Netflix release of Snowpiercer, it happens in one bulk which means that for Season 3 of Snowpiercer, Netflix would have to wait for the whole season to finish its release on TNT. Netflix has yet to confirm or release the official release date of Snowpiercer on their streaming platform. For those living outside of the US, the episodes are released weekly on Netflix.

With that being said, the Netflix release date of Snowpiercer Season 3 would turn out to be anytime after March 28, 2022 which is the current release date of the finale of the season.
