She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode 7 Recap

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode 7, The Retreat, it starts with Jen making preparations, not in court, but for her date with Josh. Of course, she's excited for finally, someone likes Jen for being just Jen and not just because she is She-Hulk.

Jen even took a shot of alcohol for some courage, and waiting outside is her date, Josh, whom has been, so far, too good to be true, given their dates seem to be fun with a lot of laughter and talking but Jen keeps Josh hanging, without a kiss every night.

Jen still texts Josh even at work and they talk about getting some fries and milkshakes. To be fair, Jen is having the time of her life with Josh and again, it is too good to be true, that Jen finally caves in on the third date and allows Josh in for a kiss and they sleep together.

By Friday, Josh already left and Jen remains head over heels about what happened that she texts Josh that she couldn't stop smiling. However, Josh, who usually replies fast, didn't reply to Jen right away so she keeps on holding back whether to text him again.

At GLK&H, Nikki is excited as Jen got nominated as the Female Lawyer of the Year but Jen couldn't care less about it. Nikki thought Jen's head is wrapped around Intelligencia but Jen only cares about whether Josh would reply to her.

The next day, Saturday, Jen still hasn't got any reply from Josh and despite trying to distract herself watching The Great Muppet Caper, she still waits for the reply of Josh.

Come Sunday, a phone call wakes Jen up and unfortunately, it is not from Josh but from the parole officer of Emil Blonsky who reports to her that Blonsky's inhibitor sent them an alert and he needs Jen as his "back-up" so if ever Blonsky is in his Abomination form, she could smash him.

While it isn't the plan of Jen for a Sunday, her rest day, since Josh isn't replying and she has nothing better to do, Jen heads to Summer Twilights, the "sanctuary" of Emil Blonsky. Before going in, the parole officer asks Jen if she could turn into She-Hulk. Yes, he's preparing for the worst.

It turns out Blonsky just got too close to an electric fence which temporarily disabled his inhibitor because he was chasing his favorite chicken (yes, he's got a favorite chicken) and all the inhibitor needs is a recalibration so the parole officer speeds up going home.

As Jen is about to go home, El Aguila comes flying from the woods and straight into the car of Jen, destroying it, and Man-Bull comes in as well. Jen goes into her She-Hulk form and stops Man-Bull, then she asks Man-Bull to apologize to her car with money.

Blonsky introduces the two and defends what they did as something healthy in their quest to conquer their identity issues. For Jen, all she cares about is her phone signal and her now-destroyed car so she needs to wait until late in the afternoon for her car to be towed home.

Unfortunately for Jen, there's no cell service or wi-fi at Blonsky's place and it is a nightmare for Jen who is still waiting for Josh's reply so she wanders around Blosnky's massive estate and she found one bar inside a small cabin.

Inside is Abomination's Wellness Retreat, Abomaste, where Blonsky conducts his "personal coaching" to the troubled. There, El Aguila and Man-bull are talking about their issues. There's Porcupine, too, who is working on his confidence, and Saracen, a vampire.

Then, a familiar guy appears. The head of the Wrecking Crew, Wrecker, enters the place and it easily angers Jen after what they did to her in the end of Episode 2. Jen tosses him across the room, startling everyone, and Blonsky asks them to sit down and talk about it.

Noticing that Jen is going through something, Blonsky and the rest of the group asks her to open up about what is bothering her and surprisingly, Jen shares about how she met an amazing guy and she hasn't received a reply from him.

She may have been "ghosted," as the group would tell her and they cringe when they hear what Jen texted. They cringe even more when Jen said she just texted Josh that she's becoming worried about him with a blushing smile emoji.

Jen loosens up and gets honest to the group about She-Hulk being similar to the cool girl in school who is the center of everyone's attention but deep inside, she knows she would always be Jen, the one nobody cares about when She-Hulk is around.

Cutting it short, Jen is feeling a bit insecure about She-Hulk and it's weird but you get the point. Man-Bull uplifts Jen's spirit and says, “Maybe there’s a group of guys who would love to spend time with Jen right now.” Jen comes back to her real self and gets an applause from the group.

This also inspires Porcupine to embrace himself and take off his mask, though it seems it's better for him to keep it on, at least, he finally gets the courage to come out of his shell and have some self-acceptance after what Jen did.

The group boosts Jen's self-confidence and convinces her to delete the number of Josh because they feel that she's better off without him. (She really is better off without Josh, trust me.) To close off their wonderful discussion, Jen goes in for some yurting to sweat it all out.

As Jen gets out of the sweat yurt, she feels refreshed and the whole group cheers for her. The mechanic arrives to tow her car and she thanks Blonsky for the experience that she never knew she needed. She even says that she would never forget the whole group.

Blonsky assures Jen that they will just be there when she needs them and she is welcome to go there anytime she wants to but she jokingly refuses Blonsky's offer unless he gets wi-fi. Jen goes home with her car towed.

Jump back to three days earlier when Jen and Josh slept together, it turns out that when Jen was asleep, Josh dressed up while cloning Jen's phone. He took her picture while naked in bed and he texted, as HulkKing, a set of emojis: a syringe, a test tube, and a like button.

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode 8 Spoilers, Theories, and Leaks

First up, the villain of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law was thought to be Titania or the Wrecking Crew but as it turns out, there is another group that would prove to be a villain to Jen with the Intelligencia being introduced.

The Intelligencia, in the comics, is composed of a group of villains that are about to arrive in the MCU such as M.O.D.O.K., the Leader, and Doctor Doom. There are also members like Mr. Sinister, Egghead, the Mad Thinker, the Red Ghost, the Wizard, the Trapster, and the Chameleon.

Still, that wouldn't discount the fact that the leader of the Wrecking Crew was at Blonsky's! This gives some suspicion on Blonsky as well. First, he requested Jen as his attorney. Second, his inhibitor "broke" and his reason seems phony, and lastly, Wrecker was there.

Meanwhile, Abomaste is a great place and the name is a genius term putting Namaste and Abomination in one word. Also, his personal coaching seems to be effective as well.

There's Saracen, a vampire who seems to have some thirst for blood, who may be hinting at the arrival of vampires anytime soon in the MCU with the upcoming reboot of Blade.

Then, there's the D-list comic book villains introduced in Abomaste. There's Man-Bull who was experimented on, El Aguila who is a mutant embracing a swashbuckler persona, and Porcupine, a scientist who made a porcupine-like suit for battle.

This group is reminiscent to the Thunderbolts, except they are quite a lesser villainous one, but it also raises a bigger question on why Abomination will not be appearing on the upcoming film Thunderbolts as he is one of the most glaring omissions in the movie.

And speaking of villains, it just proves that when something is too good to be true, one should really be suspicious and it is something Jen overlooked as she fell into the thirst trap of Josh who was literally sketchy since his arrival.

Josh turns out to be HulkKing who was teased in the end of Episode 6 where some surveillance is going on at the wedding and a laboratory shows some scientists working on a new syringe for She-Hulk, with the appearance of the failed on that the Wrecking Crew used.

Josh's text as the HulkKing shows a syringe, a test tube, and a like button which seemingly indicates that he got the sample of Jen but what's weird is that Jen didn't feel it should Josh had been successful. Maybe Josh just signaled the Intelligencia that he gives the go signal for their plan.

Back to the leader of the Wrecking Crew who is at Abomaste, it only points to the fact that their boss is none other than the Intelligencia and Josh may probably be the one they report to but if that is the case, he isn't aware of the move of the Intelligencia to put Josh as bait to Jen.

Back track to what Nikki said when she found out about Jen being nominated as the Female Lawyer of the Year, it points to the gala event where She-Hulk dresses fancy in the trailers so it is expected that the scene may come out sooner.

Lastly, there is still no sign of Daredevil in the episode and his arrival is much anticipated as there are only two episodes left for the series. Still, Kat Coiro is expected to be the director of the episode he would be in so if he isn't in Episode 8, chairs would probably go flying with the rage of the fans.
