Shazam Could Join The Justice League In Future DCEU Team-Up Movies

Zachary Levi's Shazam might not have been able to join Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), the Flash (Ezra Miller) and the rest of the team in DC's Justice League movie, but that doesn't mean that Captain Marvel won't be joining the team in future DC Extended Universe team-up movies.

Entertainment Weekly just recently did a special San Diego Comic-Con issue covering Shazam!, and in the article, the film's producer Peter Safran was asked whether or not we'd get to see Captain Marvel joining the Justice League in the DCEU.

Though Safran was careful not to give away anything specific, he did give a promising answer that teases Shazam's future in Warner Brother's burgeoning superhero franchise.

"I wouldn't be surprised to see Shazam! play a role in the DCU. He exists in that world," the producer replied.

Levi himself isn't that sure either, but he's definitely excited when he thinks about the possibility of Captain Marvel fighting side by side with the Justice League.

"I would lose my s*** if that happened, I would lose all of the sh**s. I remember thinking, ‘If I get this and if this movie does well enough and if Justice League does well enough and they make another Justice League...maybe I'll be on that next poster with all those guys," the actor gushed.

Though we're not quite certain what Warner Brothers has planned with the League after the first film flopped, we're pretty sure that the studio won't let Captain Marvel be left out in the next team-up movie.

Shazam! hits cinemas April 05, 2019.
