Shazam Tries Out His Powers In Brand New Photo

San Diego Comic-Con International hasn't even started yet but it looks like Warner Brothers isn't putting the brakes on its Shazam! campaign.

Not only have we gotten to see Captain Marvel (Zachary Levi) having fun together with his friend Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer), we've also gotten to see Billy Batson (Asher Angel) in a room filled with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Man of Steel references.

Now a new photo of Shazam's made its way online, this time from Entertainment Weekly's new comic con issue. With a playful smile on his face, fans get to see Captain Marvel standing next to a pillar with a huge hole cut right through it, dust all over his hand. From the excited look on his face, we presume that Billy Batson's still learning the joy of being in a superhero body.

Warner Brothers has certainly managed to nail the colorful childish wonder of Captain Marvel in its upcoming Shazam! standalone movie and fans are more than excited to see Levi make his debut on the big screen. Unlike previous installments in the DC Extended Universe, Shazam! is lush, vibrant, and playful – something that comic book fans expect to see in Captain Marvel movie.

We can't wait to hear what kind of new announcements about Shazam! we're going to hear from this year's SDCC.

Shazam! premieres on April 5, 2019.
