Also known as Shaman Kingu, Shaman King is a Japanese series that was released in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from June 1998 to August 2004. There are a total of 32 tankobon volumes that fans can collect. Despite the manga ending in 2004, Kodansha got the license of the manga in 2017 and relaunched it with 35 volumes that were released in 2018.

From July 2001 to September 2002, the anime adaptation was released. The popularity of the series did not stop there as they made a reboot anime as well as other spin-offs, video games, and sequel manga.

The continuous popularity of Shaman King convinced companies to launch an anime that will adapt the 35 volumes. The reboot anime premiered on April 1, 2021, with the original cast members. Fans are now wondering if, in the 2021 version, will Yoh become the Shaman King?
