Grishaverse, rejoice! Shadow and Bone Season 2 just shared an exciting progress on their filming as it finally begins! With this, it won’t be long until we finally see Alina shine her brightest once more and for her story to eliminate the Shadow Fold finally unfold.
One of the novels of Leigh Bardugo within the Grishaverse, Shadow and Bone has taken everyone aback with the story of Alina Starkov and her impeccable ability that was once a myth. Actor David Wurawa who plays Edyck, as reported by Screenrant, in the series took it on social media to confirm that the second season of Shadow and Bone has finally started filming and he posted it on his Instagram story, even adding behind-the-scenes shots in his posts.
The Grishaverse’s Shadow and Bone made its way on Netflix and the first season is a successful one, making people want more in the story following people with magical abilities called a “Grisha” and for one orphan who became a cartographer, her life changed when her powers came into existence. What once a myth became a reality as Alina reveals to be a Sun Summoner, the only one in existence.
According to the myths, the Sun Summoner is the only one who could counter the lingering darkness of the Fold, a vast dark cloud encompassing through the countries and separating them, with dangerous monsters inside. The person responsible for it has been revealed in the first season of Shadow and Bone, a Darkling who is still alive and expanding the Fold in the cliffhanger ending.
While the filming has already begun, many are already anticipating a release window for the return of Shadow and Bone on Netflix. However, the confirmation that the production has just started also comes with the fact that it might not be as early as everyone hoped for, at least, not in the early half of 2022. Many are still looking forward that it would be out by the latter half of the year or early 2023.
Shadow and Bone Season 1 is streaming on Netflix.
