Production for Matt Reeves' The Batman is currently underway in the United Kingdom and fans have been keeping up with updates on the movie. While details about the film are mostly kept under wraps, new set photos have surfaced which potentially indicates that the movie will be based on The Long Halloween story.

The photos shared by Moonwarp on Twitter reveals that a set is being made for the movie which involves a few Jack-o-lantern decorations. With that in mind, some fans have already deduced the said storyline to be featured in the film. You can check them out here.

Batman: The Long Halloween was a direct sequel to Frank Miller's Batman: Year One. Written by Jeph Loeb with art by Tim Sale, it follows the story of the Caped Crusader continuing his fight against crime syndicates in Gotham City. This is where he teams up with Catwoman, Jim Gordon, and Harvey Dent to defeat the mob, especially the Falcone and Maroni family.

Reeves previously revealed that the movie won't be an origin story and that he won't be doing any particular comic too, including Year One, which some fans speculated. The Wrap says The Batman will explore Bruce Wayne's second year as the Dark Knight.

For now, the exact setting is yet to be confirmed, so fans would have to wait for further details with regards to the movie. That being said, the cast and crew are tight-lipped about the film so it's best to wait for its release on June 25, 2021.
