Fans finally got an official first look at Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight when The Batman director Matt Reeves dropped an epic camera test video of the actor wearing his Batsuit. While some people speculated that the suit pays homage to Batman: Year One's cover, it looks like Reeves is planning to go beyond that.

Following the video release, The Wrap released a piece about Pattinson's costume for the highly-anticipated film. The outlet revealed that Reeves' movie will explore Bruce Wayne's second year as the Dark Knight.

Reeves has previously revealed that his film wouldn't be an origin story. He clarified that they won't be doing any particular comic too, including Year One, although it is one of the comic books that he "love." Instead, he'll be doing a "story that is definitively Batman" and will tell an "emotional" story about the character being the world's greatest detective.

While details about the movie are mostly kept under wraps, it is already known that it'll center around a younger version of the character and will also feature a few iconic villains, including Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler.

From the looks of it, there's likely more news to come about The Batman and fans can't wait to see what's to come in the film. Zoe Kravitz says she has done a camera test with Pattinson, so it is possible that fans might get to see her in the Catwoman costume soon.
