As we move towards the middle of Resident Alien Season 1, things are becoming exciting. Harry, the main character, portrayed by Alan Tudyk, becomes increasingly implicated in the life of small-town Patience, and struggles with an overflow of mysterious symptoms, namely human feelings. Will this be enough for him to give up on the plan to exterminate humanity? Here's all you need to know before Episode 5 brings us a step closer to the answer:
Resident Alien Episode 4 Recap
Episode 4 saw Harry adopting even more human habits, such as dreaming and worse still, having nightmares. We already knew that Harry misses life on his planet as Captain Ha Re, but in this episode, we also found out that he had a wife, and his plan to exterminate humans is partly to avenge her. But as he really becomes a part of the small town he's found himself in, his newfound conscience might not allow him to keep it up.
Harry gets the first kiss, tries and fails to learn about sports, and spends some time with Asta which helps him understand the idea of the community better. Of course, Harry's new life isn't pure fun; some children break into his house and are almost killed by his device, while a woman appears, who turns out to be the wife of the man Harry killed to assume his appearance. This is going to be complicated.
Resident Alien Episode 5 Release Date
Following the release of Resident Alien, Episode 4, titled "Birds of a Feather," Syfy confirmed that Episode 5, titled "Love Language" will be released as normal, next Wednesday the 24th of February at 10 PM PT.

Following the previous promos, the preview of Resident Alien Episode 5 is less than a minute long so we can only guess what plotlines it will be most concerned with. One thing we know for certain; now that human-Harry's wife is back in town, there is going to be a lot of drama. This is will most likely complicate Harry's relationship with the other town residents, given that he had never mentioned being married.
But will it also compromise the identity Harry has built for himself? The trailer definitely seems to imply so and we can't wait to find out more.
Resident Alien Episode 5: What Is It Going to Be About?
In the synopsis of Resident Alien Episode 5 we read:
"A surprise visitor gives Harry an introduction to marriage: a stressful human institution he needs to familiarize himself with."
Will Harry warm up to this institution as to other aspects of human life? His supposed wife seems furious and reasonably so, given that the person she believes to be her husband has not contacted her in ages. Any meaningful relationship between the two, therefore, seems unlikely, but her presence will definitely complicate things.
And of course, there is always Harry's mission to think of. While it seems less and less likely that he will actually go through with it, we can expect things to get more complicated before we get any sort of resolution.
