It’s just a few weeks away from the start of a new anime season, and finally, Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3 has an official release date which was revealed alongside a new teaser visual.
While there have been several visuals for the third season released over the past few months, this latest one puts the spotlight on the adorable (and incredibly shy) Sumi Sakurasawa.
With three of the four main girls of the show getting visuals, it’s only a matter of time before Chizuru also gets an artwork of her own.
Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3’s Latest Visual Highlights Sumi Sakurasawa
Earlier this year, a visual for Rent-a-Girlfriend was released, which featured the four main girls alongside the new character named Mini. Soon after, more visuals to promote the show were released.
One of the most striking ones is the visual of Mami Nanami, the character that pretty much every fan loves to hate.
In the visual, Mami is shown recreating Audrey Hepburn’s iconic scene from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Next, we also got a visual featuring Ruka Sarashina, and in keeping with the theme, Ruka’s visual shows her in what seems to be a European town, complete with a Vespa.
Now, it’s Sumi’s turn to get a visual. And for this new artwork, the shyest rental girlfriend in the series is shown in a flower shop while wearing a cute outfit and an old-timey hat.
As always, Sumi looks shy and reserved in this new visual, so it’ll be interesting to see if she’ll open up a bit more in the third season.

Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3 Release Date Revealed
To go along with the new visual, more details about the anime were revealed.
Specifically, it was announced that Season 3’s opening song is titled Renai mm Film (Romance mm Film in English) by helca.
This is the anime’s first opening that isn’t made by The Peggies, as the popular band is currently on hiatus. Though the new song is composed by Yuuho Kitazawa, the lead singer of The Peggies.
While the band may not be active, Kitazawa has been lending her talents to songs for other anime, including shows such as Bocchi the Rock! and Loving Yamada at Lv999!
As for its release, Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3 will begin its broadcast in Japan on July 7, and it will air on the TBS/MBS Super Animeism programming block.
Meanwhile, fans of the series in the US will be able to stream new episodes weekly on Crunchyroll starting July 7, 2023.
