Shortly after the second season’s end, Rent-a-Girlfriend confirmed that it is getting a third season this year. While it’s still a couple of months before its release, Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3 got a new trailer and visual that highlight a new girl.
Fans of the manga have no doubt been looking forward to this new addition to the cast, especially as she promises to add a wrinkle to Kazuya and Chizuru’s dynamic.
Rent-a-Girlfriend Gets New Trailer and Key Visual
It’s fair to say that Rent-a-Girlfriend isn’t exactly the most acclaimed romance anime out there.
In fact, many see it as a cringeworthy and frustrating show to watch given its characters and lack of progression.
Despite this, there’s no denying that Rent-a-Girlfriend is a huge success. Aside from being renewed for another season quickly, the manga that it’s based on has over 10 million copies in circulation.
Now, to further hype up the next season, a new trailer was released which highlights the new cast addition, Mini Yaemori.

The latest trailer doesn’t reveal many details, though you can expect that Kazuya will once again be up to his usual antics with Chizuru.
Though the addition of Mini might just be enough to add some spice to the events.
Along with the trailer, a new visual for the anime was also shared featuring the four main girls alongside Mini. This implies that Mini will play a key role in the next season.
Also revealed with the new trailer and visuals is the fact that Season 3 will feature the fan-favorite movie arc.
This upcoming arc promises to progress Kazuya and Chizuru’s relationship, at least by the series’ standards.

Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3’s New Girl, Release Date
Save for Mami Nanami, the rest of the main girls of the anime are rental girlfriends that Kazuya meets through the service.
However, the new character, Mini, is not one of them. Instead, she is a YouTuber and cosplayer.
Mini will be introduced as a neighbor of Kazuya and Chizuru in their apartment building.
She will also soon discover Kazuya and Chizuru’s secret, which will make her one of the few characters to know their status.
Voicing Mini is Yu Serizawa, the voice actress of Kaname Arisugawa in Fly Me to the Moon, Yumemi Yumemite in Kakegurui, and Shera L. Greenwood in How Not to Summon a Demon Lord.
Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3 will premiere in July 2023. There’s no word yet on which streaming platform it will be released on outside Japan, though it will likely be streamed on Crunchyroll, similar to the first two seasons.
