From being broken-hearted, Kazuya is now tangled up in a different problem: he has too many women after him in Rent-A-Girlfriend which is based on the manga series on the same name. As for its current status, is the Rent-A-Girlfriend manga ending, finished, or still ongoing?
The story of Kazuya is any guy's dream, from getting dumped to having a lot of girls vying for him. Still, he remains in his current dilemma of not knowing who to choose. He has a luxury of having Ruka and Chizuru there for him, even Mami from time to time, but he still can't make up his mind.
Rent-A-Girlfriend has an anime adaptation with two seasons to date, the second is currently running which releases every Saturday in Japan at 1:25 AM JST via Animax. It releases in different regions of the world via Crunchyroll every Friday. The first run of the series was released in July to September 2020 by TMS Entertainment.
Rent-A-Girlfriend comes from the pages of Reiji Miyajima’s Japanese manga of the same name. The series still follows the manga, however, questions are circulating on the current status of the material.
Is the Rent-A-Girlfriend Manga Finished or Ongoing? Ending Status Explained
The Rent-A-Girlfriend manga series from Reiji Miyajima took a 14-month hiatus and just resumed on March 6 this year. However, just after a month, Kodansha confirmed in April 2022 that the material will be going on an indefinite break as they didn't indicate when the manga will be back.
To sum it up, no, Rent-a-Girlfriend manga is not "officially" ending. However, fans are theorizing that the manga series is nearing its final arc, and the reason why there was an indefinite break was that the creator is preparing for the last stretch.
But in the end, who will Kazuya chose? Who will he end up with? Will it be Chizuru, Ruka, or Mami, or will he not choose at all?
All these answers remain unanswered but hopefully, when Rent-a-Girlfriend manga comes back, it would be ready for these questions.
Rent-a-Girlfriend manga's previous chapters are available in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine.
