Rebel Moon: Zack Snyder Reunites with Justice League Star in his New Netflix Movie

Seems like Zack Snyder is getting a hang of having Netflix movies now that he has a new one lined up: Rebel Moon, and the film just dropped its amazing ensemble cast which includes one Justice League star, Ray Fisher, and a reunion is about to happen with the actor and the director.

Zack Snyder is currently working on another science-fiction blockbuster called Rebel Moon and the director just revealed a talented ensemble cast that would star in his latest film. He posted on his official Twitter account that Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, and Ray Fisher would headline his new movie on Netflix.

The four new cast members would be joining Sofia Boutella, Jenna Malone, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggi, Staz Nair, and Sky Yang in the movie. Snyder also teased that there would be other actors included as he said there would be more to come. Netflix Geeked also tweeted the additional cast members and dropped the official synopsis of the film.

The official synopsis of Rebel Moon is as follows: “REBEL MOON is set in a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius. Its only hope is a young woman with a mysterious past who seeks out warriors from neighboring planets to help them take a stand.”

Zack Snyder’s new film Rebel Moon will delve into the depths of the galaxy where a tyrannical Regent Balisarius takes on colonies and a woman stands up in search of warriors from planets nearby to defend what they have.

While this would be the first time that Charlie Hunnam, Doona Bae, and Djimon Hounsou would work with Zack Snyder, it wouldn’t be the case for Ray Fisher as he already worked with the tenured director in Justice League where he portrayed the role of Cyborg/ Victor Stone. It would be an interesting thing to see the two work together again in one film.

The first part of Rebel Moon is set to start production on April 18 and is expected to wrap up by November 4, 2022. There would also be a second part of the film which was already given a go signal by Netflix. The location of the shoot would be the same as that of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and The Return of The Jedi in Death Valley National Park in California.

Rebel Moon has no release date yet.
