Rachel McAdams Seemingly Confirms MCU Comeback

You may know Rachel McAdams for her recurring role as Doctor Strange’s former wife, Christine Palmer, in the franchise.

Her most recent return as a key supporting role was in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness where she served as two different Christine Palmers, one from Earth-616 and the other from Earth-838.

Both of whom had helped Strange in figuring out where he stands in life, specifically in attempting to rid himself of his feelings for someone he had lost while seeking a higher power.

Now, seeing as Doctor Strange 3 is potentially happening, as well as his involvement in bigger films like Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, McAdams has hinted on her next MCU comeback.

“You never know what’s going to happen with the MCU, right? It’s vast and endless, so — to be continued.” McAdams teased while speaking with Empire Magazine.

McAdams shared: “What I took away from it is that green-screen acting is hard. And that you have to be really fit to make a Marvel movie. I had to really tap into my figure-skating, sporty side from another life.”

“I mean, it’s a great gig. So I wouldn’t be sad to keep going with it. It’s a fun part [to play]. And I liked that she’s gone in different directions now.”

McAdams refused to reveal more of her future in the MCU, but she didn’t zip her lips on returning since the multiverse exists, after all.

“And now that the multiverse is open, you know, anything could happen.” McAdams added, “The world’s your oyster.”

As to which role McAdams will be, whether it’s reprising her Christine Palmer role or perhaps a multiversal version, it is interesting to see where her fate lies within Phase 5 onwards, aside from being Strange’s ex-wife.

You can stream the Doctor Strange franchise on Disney+. For now, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now showing in theaters worldwide.
