Queen Elizabeth Reportedly Called Out Meghan Markle This Way
In Katie Nicholl's new book, The New Royals, she revealed that Queen Elizabeth once called out Meghan Markle after hearing her speak to staffers. The encounter reportedly happened after the Duchess of Sussex complained about the taste of the dish that she just ate.
According to Nicholl, Markle made it clear that she wanted vegan food to be served at her royal wedding reception. But during the tasting, Prince Harry's wife insisted that she could taste egg in the dish that she was trying out.
"Meghan was at the castle to taste some of the dishes and told one of the caterers she could taste the egg. She got quite upset, saying that the dish was meant to be vegan and macrobiotic when suddenly the Queen walked in and said: 'Meghan, in this family we don't speak to people like that,'" Nicholl wrote (via 7news.com.au).

Prince William, Kate Middleton Also Had Some Concerns About Prince Harry, Meghan Markle
Also, in The New Royals, the royal author revealed that Prince William and Kate Middleton became upset with Prince Harry when he decided to quit his royal duties.
The Prince of Wales always thought that his younger brother would be his wingman for the rest of their lives. But this changed with one huge decision that he made with his wife. And this decision also affected his three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
"It was William who felt Harry's departure most acutely because of the immediate repercussions on his own life. Friends of his say one of the reasons he won't forgive Harry is due to the consequence of Megxit for Kate and their children. Queen Elizabeth Didn't Like How Meghan Markle Talked To Palace Workers
Prior to the release of Nicholl's book, there were already reports about the Queen and Markle dealing with tensions in their relationship.
According to The Sun, Markle wanted to wear a tiara with emeralds to her wedding, but the Queen didn't allow her to do so.
"Meghan cannot have whatever she wants. She gets the tiara she's given by me," she told Prince Harry.
In the end, Markle didn't get her way, and she wore a different tiara to her wedding.
The Queen also reminded Markle how to treat palace staffers and to think about how she speaks before she says anything.
"Meghan can be difficult. She has very high standards and is used to working in a Hollywood environment. However, there's a different degree of respect in the Royal household and Kate has always been very careful about how she acted around staff," the source said.
